In 2022, I wanted to make money online. So I started learning web development. I studied HTML and CSS, but I had no plan. No structure. I was all over the place. Months passed and I still earned nothing.
The problem was not my ability. The problem was my approach.
Back then, I had no AI tools. Everything was manual. Every small thing took hours. I often got stuck and felt like giving up.
A few years later, something changed.
I started using AI to help me build websites. Everything became faster. I told the AI what I wanted, and it helped me build it. Tasks that used to take days now took hours. My first real personal website? Built with AI. And I am proud of it.
"The skill is not in writing the code anymore. The skill is in the vision. The ideas. The design."
Today, the tools are even better. Things like Gemini and ChatGPT can generate beautiful code in seconds. They are smart, fast, and helpful. They can write complex JavaScript, build layouts, and debug errors.
This is where I realized something: So I stopped worrying about every semicolon. I stopped trying to memorize every CSS property.
I started focusing on how things look, how they feel, and how they work. I started focusing on user experience, typography, white space, and visual flow.
I stopped coding, and I started designing.
Today, I use AI as a powerful assistant. It handles the repetitive, technical tasks. It writes the code under my direction. This frees up my mind to focus on what actually matters: creating beautiful, human-centered digital experiences.
If you are starting out today, do not get lost in the syntax. Use the tools available to you. Let them empower your design.
Because at the end of the day, a website is not just a bunch of code. It is an experience.
